Born and raised in low-income communities throughout Washington, D.C., and growing up in the foster care system, I’ve experienced firsthand the challenges that shape resilience, creativity, and purpose. These experiences gave me the drive not just to survive, but to build something meaningful for myself and others.
I’m the founder and owner of Ragz 2 Richez LLC, the parent company of Smellt Goods and RARE BREED. Ragz 2 Richez originally started as a marketing agency in D.C. shortly after I earned my degree in Marketing and Business. Over the years, it’s grown into a multi-brand business grounded in authenticity and passion.
Smellt Goods was born during a time when I became slightly disabled and had to adjust to new physical limitations. I’ve never been one to sit idle, so I taught myself how to make wax melts, what began as a creative outlet quickly turned into a full-fledged business offering home goods that spark comfort and joy.
This Fall, I’m launching RARE BREED, an apparel line that represents individuality, perseverance, and rising above your circumstances. It's a brand for those who know what it means to be differentand powerful because of it.
In addition to entrepreneurship, I’m a former full-time teacher, now working as a part-time substitute while pursuing my Master’s in Social Work. Giving back to my community has always been close to my heart. Whether it’s through education, mentorship, or creating opportunities for others, I’m committed to making a lasting impact.
From the classroom to the business world, and from foster care to higher education, this journey is proof that where you start doesn't determine where you can go.
